Château d’Yquem hosts an evening in New Zealand for the first time to present their world renowned wine together with a selection of fine dining dishes at Hippopotamus Restaurant.

With a reputation built on a quality menu, commanding wine list and skilled service team, naturally, Château d’Yquem approached Hippopotamus, to host their first winemaker’s dinner in the country. No stranger to this complex, concentrated and sweet drop, Hippopotamus is thrilled to present this world renowned wine in this August, one night only.

Deemed the world’s greatest white wine, Château d’Yquem is located on a small hill in Sauternes, in the southern part of the Bordeaux vineyards. With proper care, a bottle of Chateau d’Yquem will keep for a century or more, but it’s unlikely to last long in the hands of any wine connoisseur.
