The World’s Greatest Experiment

Jul 18, 2016  ·  1 min read

By Ben Stephens.

Dr Alan Duffy is in the realm of Brian Cox, as in whenever they are talking about a theory, really breaking it down, I am with them all the way, then boom, they hit me with some statistic or astrophysical truth that absolutely blows my mind and I need to stop, walk away and come back with a pen and paper and do some doodling to try and understand what was just said. Dr Duffy has a TedTalk about the idea of asking simple questions, as all our great minds have, before stumbling over a theory, like Einstein did with relativity. Armed with his knowledge and non-condescending personality, Dr Duffy will be in Sydney next month to talk us through The World’s Greatest Experiment, that’s right, the Large Hadron Collider and what it means to the human race.
