A must-attend event on any foodie’s hit list is the annual Good Food & Wine Show that hits town this weekend from 23-25 June at Sydney’s ICC. The show is a three-day extravaganza of top food and drink providores, celebrity chef masterclasses and demos, exclusive VIP lunches and dinners and plenty more that will have all food-obsessed punters raring to go.
Friday’s festivities kick off with cooking demos from some of Australia’s favourite celebrity chefs, including Kylie Kwong, Miguel Maestre and Colin Fassnidge (click HERE for the timetable and ticketing!). Budding home cooks be sure to take note of all their tips and tricks to recreate these chef-inspired meals at home.
Masterchef hero George Calombaris joins the demo stage on Saturday, along with Luke Nguyen, and guests can also see television darling Gary Mehigan up on the stage on the Sunday.
For a super VIP experience, enjoy an elegant pit stop at the show in the Champagne Taittinger and Oyster Bar. Here, guests who hold the golden ticket can enjoy a flute of bubbles alongside a selection of delicious oysters – sounds pretty luxe, doesn’t it?
After you’ve lapped up a little luxury, make a beeline for the Good Food Village, a new speciality food market in the heart of the show that’s jam-packed with small artisan producers dishing out quality produce that’ll be there for the tasting. Here you will be able to try before you buy with some of the freshest seasonal foods, many of which you wouldn’t find on the high street. Work your way through the village to find: Babushka Bagels; Cory Chilli; Great Southern Truffles; Jack Dillions; Life of Cha and loads more.
Vinomofo Adventure Park – sounds pretty good, huh? Once you’re full on all the foods, time to get your drinking pants on and head over to the epic wine wonderland where you can expect the unexpected with these wine-loving mofos. Think top-notch tipple, primo tastings, virtual reality tours of the Yarra Valley, giant swings and wine-scream. Go where no mofo has gone before.
Bon Appétit
