Three Epic Sydney Events In November

We are a little bewildered (anyone else?). It’s already November. But Sydney in November is completely and utterly alive with a stack-load of fun things to gawk at, consume and enjoy. Things that will keep us busy until the New Year. From stunning art exhibitions to offbeat outdoor events, November is the month to get out and become besties with the city.

Pipilotti Rist: Sip My Ocean at the MCA

The Museum of Contemporary Art this week unveiled its summer blockbuster, ‘Sip My Ocean’ by Pipilotti Rist. A stunning incorporation of video and sculpture that urges visitors to dive into colourful projections, and explore the relationship between nature, the body and technology. Gallery-goers will be immersed in Rist’s ground-breaking practice. One she has been cultivating since the 1980s. On now until February 2018.

Newtown Festival

A community street party like no other, the Newtown Festival is in its 39th year and draws together live music, markets, food, animal love and general good vibes. Held in Camperdown Memorial Rest Park on Sunday November 12, the theme of this festival is ‘home is where the heart is’ and celebrates the best of the inner west.

Muriel’s Wedding The Musical

One of Australia’s favourite cult films hits the big stage! Showing at the Roslyn Packer Theatre from November 6th, Muriel’s Wedding The Musical is the result of Global Creatures and Sydney Theatre Company teaming up to bring ‘90s Australian cinema to life and will tell the story of beloved character Muriel Heslop and her socially awkward ABBA-laden adventures.
