This week, we have officially rolled into the final month and reminisce on yet another year that’s passed by in the blink of an eye… sigh. But, we rejoice the fact we can officially celebrate the start of summer!
We have done some research on some of the coolest things to do this month and have rounded up a hot little hit list for your perusing pleasure.
Tasty tours
It may be known for its iconic architecture, but the Sydney Opera House also offers bars and restaurants galore that all foodies need to tick off their culinary bucket list. The Sydney Opera House is fulfilling that foodie yen with a degustation tour that offers an opportunity to experience their fine contemporary hospitality.
The intimate, all-inclusive Taste of the Opera House experience takes punters on a three-hour guided tour of the Opera House’s award-winning restaurants and bars, including Opera Bar, Portside Sydney and highly acclaimed Bennelong.
The next tour will be Sunday 3 December 2017 from 10.45am to 2.30pm. Click here for more information.
Brilliant ballet
The acclaimed Australian Ballet has brought to life the favourite children’s fable, Alice in Wonderland in a Christopher Wheeldon-created production, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland – premiering this December.
Created in 2011 for the Royal Ballet, where choreographer Wheeldon is an artistic associate, this take on Lewis Carroll’s 1865 fantasy features spectacular fairytale set and costume design by Tony Award-winner Bob Crowley, and a contemporary score by Joby Talbot.
From December 5-22. Get your tickets here.
Moonlight movies
Everyone’s favourite outdoor cinema kicks off on December 1 for another year of fabulous films, delicious bites and drinks under the starry sky. On the bill this year are brand new flicks including thrillers and horrors such as It and Murder on the Orient Express, plus something for the romantics and little ones like Breathe and Paddington Bear 2. In the eats department, you will find all the familiar goodies – think nachos, New York chilli cheese dogs and pizza.

Beatlemania
The baby-faced Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney will jet into town for his first Australian tour in 24 years. Playing at Sydney Olympic Park on December 11th, McCartney will showcase his huge anthology from his decade-long solo career and Beatles-era tracks, against a backdrop of pyrotechnics, giant screens and a tight back-up band, who he’s been playing with for over ten years.
