Having already kicked off and running until September 30th, the eighth Sydney Fringe Festival is back and better than ever, with a program of 300 productions across 50 venues throughout the city. Offering standout performances by local independent artists, art makers and performers, the sensational Sydney Fringe is a celebration of all things art and creativity – and totally up our alley. Here are our top picks for what’s on the Fringe agenda.

Cirque Africa
Be prepared to be wowed out of your seat with one-of-a-kind show, Cirque Africa, a vibrant production that takes the audience on a journey through Africa, highlighting all the best bits of the continent. Cirque Africa features a world-class African troupe, consisting of 25 performing artists from four African countries including acrobats, dancers, percussionist, musicians and contortionists, all geared up to light your souls on fire. ‘Sola’ the Tree with no Leaves
Exploring the motif of trees, Sola- the tree with no leaves explores a woman born into a bloodline of artists who finds her own voice symbolised by her relationship with a tree. Featuring rope artwork by Garth Knight with dance theatre performed by Paloma Negra to a seductive backdrop of live music by Peter Urquhart, the audience will be captivated by this beautifully layered piece of theatre. 10 Comedians for $20
Our friends from Sydney Fringe have done all the work for you – there is no need to scrounge around looking for something to see when they have rounded up the Fringe’s best comedy value – 10 comedians for $20! Thanks guys. 10 Comedians for $20 is a hilarious line-up of 10 experienced comedians, making this the perfect, laugh-filled way to enjoy comedy at the 2017 Sydney Fringe. Global Rhythms
One for the music lovers, Global Rhythms promises an afternoon of fine tunes, beautiful food from around the world, environmental workshops and kids’ activities, all set in front of a picturesque backdrop. One of the main events of the festival, the Global Rhythms line-up will be a unique and diverse mixture of artists from all over the country, who have banded together to bring you the good.
