If you’re a fan, you’ll probably already know how to get to the home of damn fine Scottish Whisky, but please let me indulge you and offer a refresher.
You’ll need to jump a flight from Kingsford Smith (or your local Intl Airport) to Singapore, then wind the hours down before boarding another flight to the London Heathrow. From here, you’ll need to be holding a boarding pass for the next flight to Inverness, Scotland. Once you have collected your bags, it’s recommended that you meet your helicopter pilot who will get you the 40kms north, where you’ll arrive at the doors of The Glenmorangie Distillery.
Currently, that one-way adventure will only set you back a cool $1,400AUD (minus the private heli).
Once there, you’ll be given a tour of the distillery and a dram of their finest drop, straight from the barrel.
Though why leave the confines of the Harbour City to enjoy the best of the fermented grain mash, when you can do it right here, with us at QT Sydney, accompanied by a three-course dinner prepared by the Gowings Bar & Grill team?
This Thursday, March 30, the Glenmorangie team will be hosting a one night only event, dubbed After Hours.
You’ll be a guest at the table that will include a sensory culinary offering, paired with cocktails and some neat servings of Glenmorangie Original, Lasanta and the very delicious Signet.
You’ll also be joined by Head of Maturing Whiskey Stocks at Glenmo’, Brendan McCarron, via video link from the distillery. He’ll be on hand to impart his wealth of knowledge of the fine drops in front of you.
Tickets to the dinner are strictly limited, with the first sitting already sold out.
Be sure to snap your tickets up HERE ASAP.
