Gowings Bar & Grill
A fine dining concept created by acclaimed restaurateur Robert Marchetti, Creative Food Director of QT Sydney. Gowings Bar & Grill presents the style of a European brasserie, with edgy contemporary design.
Offering the freshest produce from Australia’s best artisan providores, prepared with cooking techniques featuring wood fired rotisseries and ovens. A specially curated wine program featuring exciting young winemakers from all around the world complements the food selection.
Julien Pouteau, a dynamic and passionate chef, started his career in his hometown of Brittany. He completed culinary school and an apprenticeship, followed by roles in kitchens of a number of leading hotels and restaurants in France.
From there Julien took his skills to the rest of the world, working for prestigious establishments within the Leading Hotels of the World and Relais & Châteaux networks, across countries such as the US, French Polynesia and Morocco.
Julien joined QT Sydney in February 2016, where he continues to deliver on the restaurant’s philosophy of creating fresh, homemade feel dishes, using local ingredients and best in class produces.
Collaboratively working alongside Creative Food Director, Robert Marchetti, the pair have chosen a selection of artisan producers and suppliers to be showcased throughout the menu.
