Made in Queenstown

Apr 4, 2018  ·  2 min read

Queenstown is undeniably breathtaking to look at and we are so proud and thankful for our beautiful surroundings.

Our amazing city has also produced some truly fabulous home-grown goods. They are beauties in their own right so look out for these Queenstown local legends. Just a few of many …

The Remarkable Sweet Shop

Take a walk down memory lane and indulge in all the sweets from your childhood. Still just as tasty, the bon bons, milk bottles and fudge are delightful at The Remarkable Sweet Shop. They are particularly well-known for their killer fudge and, as a major win, they offer free fudge tastings! The fudge is so good that it holds a special spot in the QT mini bar. Go, try and buy as it’s hard to resist.

Amisfield Wine

Visiting Amisfield Wine will bring you a whole nicely rounded adventure. The wine is fantastic, the land charming and the restaurant is one not to be missed. Amisfield strives to enhance sustainability and has even installed their own wetlands to recycle their waste water. This is the true palate to plate experience with both the food and the wine for the restaurant coming from right out in the backyard.

June Lily

This fun handcrafted jewellery will brighten anyone’s day. The designer, Amanda, named the company after her two grandmothers and all her pieces are ideated and created in-house. As all June Lily pieces are hand-made, no two items are the same. This is exciting and worth a look as her bespoke pieces are truly hard to resist. Items can also be bought in local shop Vesta Design.
