Queenstown is a place for the feet to work hard and pound the trails, but for the soul to rest easy in the beauty and the quiet.
When you arrive in Queenstown you’ll first notice the sheer grandeur of the mountains, the expanse of the lake and the vivid colours weaving all through the natural landscape. You’ll drink and you’ll eat to your hearts greatest contentment, but whilst here I implore you to take a walk, find some stillness and hold in a deep breath. People from all over the world are drawn to this stunning area for a reason, and that reason may well be something that we can’t actually see. Queenstown is a place for the feet to work hard and pound the trails, but for the soul to rest easy in the beauty and the quiet.
When you come to stay with us, you’ll be so comfortable there’s a good chance you won’t want to leave the room! 24 hour in room dining, cocktails in every which way imaginable, Directors of Adventure to guide you on your path… However, if you want some relaxation to tie in with your adventures, some food for your brain as well as your belly, and some stillness among the crowds, I suggest you hit up our friends down at Lululemon Athletica on Beach Street. Everyone knows Lululemon; their gear is timeless and chic, multi-purpose but still cute as all heck – you’re hitting the gym and then going for coffee? No worries. Even if the only exercise you’re doing for the day is walking to get your snacks, their gear will serve you well.
What you may not know, is that they run empowerment workshops and build a solid, active community grounded in helping one another, growth and personal development and introducing anyone keen into the yogi life. And let me tell you, it is alive and thriving here in Queenstown! With extraordinary mountain peaks and dizzyingly deep lakes, the vortex of energy here is the perfect place to get in touch with the inner-you. Find out what you’re actually feeling, listen to some inspiring people, or even just learn how incredibly un-flexible you are and take a secret vow to take up yoga on your front porch every morning (I’ve been taking this oath a LOT. Good thing no one judges here!)
If you want to join in on the juicy fun, you can head down to Lulu and meet with their beautiful team. On the regular schedule we have:
Power Hour on the first Monday of every month from 12-1pm in the store. This is a personal development and health discovery workshop where local entrepreneurs lead the charge – it can be anything from mindful meditation strategies, to goal and leadership tasks – not just brain food, but actual nourishment.
Yoga in store every Sunday morning from 8:30-9:30AM – meet the beautiful yogis here to stretch and realign your body whilst surrounded by good vibes and beautiful clothes.
And my personal favourite, Yoga in the Gardens. I’m sure you’ve heard me prattle on about how beautiful our gardens are, so what better way to discover the serenity than by getting bendy with the best. Now the weather is warm, you can find the wild ones every Friday evening from 6-7PM on now through to January 4th 2019. You can stretch away your kinks, get your muscles shaking and chock full of energy, and then complete the day by drifting off into peaceful Savasana.
