QT Hotels & Resorts Launch Travelshoot Staycations

Gone are the days of the blurry holiday selfies thanks to Travelshoot Staycations at QT Hotels and Resorts. Guests now have the chance to travel like a famous blogger and build an Instagram feed full of professionally shot photos.

A Gold Coast initiative powered by the creative sibling duo, Sarah Pearce and Tim Jones, Travelshoot connects guests at QT Gold Coast, QT Melbourne, QT Sydney and QT Canberra with professional photographers to capture high quality shots of their designer holiday.

“There are so many perfect places for a Travelshoot at QT Hotels and Resorts with the quirky designer guestrooms, playful lobby spaces, groovy restaurants and bars and chic spaQ proving to be the most popular spots for photo opportunities. Not to mention the iconic beachside and city locations of each hotel”, says Pearce.

Guests are invited to stay in a photo-ready QT guestroom for a two night Travelshoot Staycation and enjoy a complimentary breakfast for two adults. During the stay, Travelshoot’s expert team will take guests on a one-hour photo shoot with a professional photographer which will result in a minimum of 20 high-resolution and very Insta-worthy shots.

The idea itself came from a personal holiday experience.

“A few years back my husband and I took our first trip to New York. A friend of mine was a photographer based in the city, and we were his ‘test customers’ for a few photos along Brooklyn Bridge for his new website”, explains Pearce.

The hour provided us with 10 images that we got to keep – they featured the most spectacular New York cityscape on sunset. Instead of candid selfies or trusting other tourists to get photos of us together like we usually do when we travelled.”

And so Travelshoot was born.
