QT Canberra Crowned Best Superior Hotel

Posted on: 10 August 2016

Last night, the best and brightest of the local hospitality scene recognised the achievements of QT Canberra by taking home the sought-after award for Best Superior Hotel (4.5 Star) at the Australian Hotels Association’s night of nights.

The 2016 ACT AHA Awards for Excellence were held on Monday night 11th July at the National Convention Centre, bringing together Canberra’s leading hotels, bars, restaurants and licensed venues. Nominations spanned more than 30 categories across all aspects of accommodation hotels, licensed venues and outstanding employees.

General Manager of QT Canberra, Paul Scott, spoke proudly of last night’s award. “These are exciting times in the Canberra tourism marketplace. It’s very rewarding to recognise the hard work and dedication of the QT Canberra team.”

Further recognition was also provided to QT Canberra Director of Food & Beverage, Tarn Morrow, who picked up one of the two major awards on the night being crowned 2016 Member of the Year. This award is given to talented industry leaders and is recognition for Tarn’s achievements over the past 20 years in the Hospitality Industry.

2016 has seen a lot of growth in the hospitality sector in cementing Canberra‘s place as a foodie destination for national and international visitors. QT Canberra wishes to congratulate all the night’s winners, and thanks the Australian Hotels Association for recognising the hard work of the management and staff at QT Canberra.
