Posted on: 29 November 2017

The hotly anticipated launch of designer hotel, QT Queenstown, brought two vibrant additions to the city’s burgeoning hospitality scene: Bazaar Interactive Marketplace and Reds Bar.

Opened prior to the launch of QT Queenstown (December 1, 2017), the property’s bold food and drink concepts have been mastering the culinary and mixology scene since their launch earlier this year – Bazaar and Reds have been the first taste of the QT Life in New Zealand’s nature playground.

Bazaar Interactive Marketplace, recreates the traditional marketplace with a unique twist, paying homage to the abundance of flora, fauna and livestock of the Central Otago region, with highest quality national and international ingredients. The adventure chic design and emphasis on the freshest produce, has proved to be an everyday affair, indulging its guests with an expansive, world menu to satisfy and intrigue the developed palates of the most discerning foodies.

Thoughtfully designed, the open kitchen is bustling with chefs at the ready to provide insight into the creations of the day. Diners are also invited indulge in options made to order; housemade dumplings, the juiciest cuts of steak and ovens at the ready for wood-fired pizzas.

Produce grown in QT Queenstown’s rooftop garden features on the menu alongside locally sourced ingredients selected by the culinary team spearheaded by QT Queenstown’s Food & Beverage Director, Josh Smith-Thirkell. “We’re excited to continue to build relationships and support our local farmers and producers, collaboratively furthering our reputations for freshness and quality” says Josh. Bazaar delivers artisan flair, while changing the face of the brand’s food supply chain to ensure seasonal and specialised produce is sourced straight from the producer to the plate.

Not one for shying away from a party and a few cheeky beverages, QT Queenstown introduced a great temptation with twists on the modern and forgotten with Reds Bar. Thrill seekers and lovers of luxury alike can sit back, watch the sun hit the Remarkables with drink in hand. Every handcrafted concoction  filled with a taste of Queenstown from QT’s rooftop herbs to locally foraged flora and housemade infusions, from pancetta vodka to wormwood syrup.

For those with a penchant for fine wines – we’re bringing wine country to your table. It’s a pleasure to pour stunning vintages such as Charcoal Gully Sally’s Pinch Pinot Noir 2013 by the glass to Bannockburn, where drops are known for the long lasting finishes.

Reds promises to be the perfect place for an expertly prepared beverage after an adrenalin filled day, and settling in to soaking the sunset before venturing across to Bazaar Interactive Marketplace and settling in for the night.
