Winter has officially hit Queenstown. New to the town’s social scene, Reds Bar is making sure they see in their first QT Winter – right. Following the opening in January, launch party in March and Friday night, Beats and Baos promotion, featuring mouth-watering baos and resident DJ, DJ Ribera, we already know Reds has the right ingredients for any party.

Next Friday (23rd June 2017), Reds is starting Winter steamy with the launch of their new season cocktail menu. Available throughout the season, Reds are offering a bespoke range of cocktails to keep things hot after any Queenstown Winter day.

Pine needles. Wood smoke. Snow. These are the smells of the season captured in The Wilding Pine – an expert concoction of Haymans London Dry Gin, Lillet Blanc, Pine Needle Syrup, freshened up with Lemon Juice and Celery Shrub, close your eyes and you’ll swear you’re amongst the picturesque landscape. Between choosing the next cocktail and selection of canapés on offer, those with a sweet tooth will quickly fall in love at first smell with a Spiced Cloud – a marriage of Marshmallow Infused Spiced Rum, Honey Water Shrub, a dash of pineapple with a nostalgic garnish of Toasted Marshmallow, the familiar from the bar to the moment it’s bought to your table. Boasting views of The Remarkables surrounding Lake Wakatipu, from drinks, bites to beats, and all your senses will scream après ski chic.

If you decide cocktail hour ever ends, step next-door into the town’s only interactive marketplace, Bazaar Queenstown. Here, choose to continue to indulge; from mixology to gastronomy. At Bazaar Queenstown, continue sampling winter fare such as Burgundy beef cheeks, black truffle polenta accompanied with sautéed wild mushrooms, to milk braised merino lamb, parsnip puree and rosemary.
