The Winter Social 2016

We all love winter for the fact that we can stay inside all day snuggled up on the couch in our favourite comfy pants without feeling guilty. However, who’s to say that winter isn’t the ideal season for partying? When you think about it, there are benefits to hitting the town in winter. Girls, your hair and makeup will remain intact all night, and guys, it’s the perfect excuse to get creative with your winter wardrobe.

The guys from Hidden Republic and Disco Entertainment recognise the pros to partying this time of year and for that reason have brought us The Winter Social for the fourth year in a row. This event (aimed at the young professionals of Brisbane and the GC) is all about dressing to the nines, supporting local businesses and partying into the wee hours of the morning. With four and a half hours of delicious food and crafty cocktails, live entertainment and VIP service, what’s not to love?

If you attended Sunset Affair at QT’s Stingray Lounge in April, you’d know that the team from Hidden Republic and Disco Entertainment know how to throw one extravagant party. Stingray flourished with gents in boat shoes and ladies in designer dresses as local band Hair Nun Nun got the party started. It was such a successful event and not one person left without getting lei’d… with a floral garland of course. Here’s a short clip from the day:

Sunset Affair set the bar high, but The Winter Social is set to raise eyebrows with pop-up bars galore including ‘Jet Chill’ who will be chilling your cocktails with their incredibly cool dry ice machine. In addition to this, you’ll experience acrobats, fire twirlers and live animals roving the venue.
