Winter Beauty Tips

Jun 20, 2016  ·  3 min read

By Ashleigh Hobson.

Now with winter well and truly here, we’re not only welcoming the drop in temperature but also the dreaded cracked lips and dry skin. Never fear! We have our beauty expert (AKA spaQ Manager) here to share with us some of her best tips for keeping your skin on point this winter… thank Aphrodite.

MOISTURISE

Yes, this seems like a given – the harsh winter conditions, teamed with central heating systems can draw the life right out of your skin like an annoying and mopey Twilight vampire. You may need to reach for a richer moisturiser – I swap from using Moisture Control Lotion in the summer to Uspa Hydration Therapy Cream with Olive Leaf extract ($96) for the winter months!

TIP: Instead of swapping to a whole new moisturiser simply add a few drops of Uspa Hydramax Elixir ($35) to your current moisturiser. It features rosehip, evening primrose and avocado oils and is packed full of vitamins and fatty acids to soothe and repair dry and dehydrated skins.

MOISTURISE MORE…

Don’t forget the body! The Uspa Lu’lur Coco Cream Body Moisturiser ($28) is ideal for ultimate skin nourishment. With key elements like organic coconut oil and cocoa butter being super high in anti oxidants and concentrated natural fats, it simply melts into the skin!

TIP: Perfect to massage into dry, cracked heals too.

SPF

Not just for the summer time. The winter sun can still be quite harsh, so using a daily SPF is essential. Slip slop slap.

EXFOLIATE

Our skin needs to be prepped and primed to be able to absorb all the nourishing products. Make sure you exfoliate weekly. Uspa Bamboo Polish ($36) for your weekly facial exfoliant, and I LOVE the Uspa Lu’lur Hibiscus & Turmeric Rice Powder Scrub ($28) with jasmine for the body!

TIP: Fill the bathtub with warm water and soak after applying the scrub. Not only do you have a beautiful body polish, but also be energised with a purifying and invigorating bath soak.

LUSCIOUS LIPS

Issada Mineral Lip Gloss ($48). Drenched in aloe, chamomile and grape seed extract (with essence of vanilla), this handbag must-have will protect and repair dry lips (as well as looking beautiful with a dash of colour and shine).

ONE MORE ESSENTIAL ITEM

Uspa China Rose Hair Masque ($34) – don’t forget those luscious locks. Take advantage of our ‘Sweet Rose Salve-Ation’ promotion for the month of June.

Visit the website to buy these sweet products or to book one of our transformative body wraps and the scalp massage will be upgraded to a China Rose Hair Treatment (valid till June 30, 2016).
