Who framed Bambi?

Feb 28, 2013  ·  2 min read

By Benjamen Judd

We have a soft spot for cute things. They make spaces more fun and they tend to lighten the mood of a room up and we’re also incredibly juvenile at heart so anything even slightly whimsical makes us happy.

The Bambi frame came from a collaboration between designer Fukutoshi Ueno and Australian fashion designers, Pamela Easton and Lydia Pearson (Easton Pearson). The Bambi Frame Screen series fuses beauty with function and playfulness with sophistication.

The screens were designed to work as frame hangers for clothing, their unique aesthetic created by the Japanese born and Brisbane based Ueno and Easton Pearson. The screens can also be viewed as artworks in their own right and enhance the experience of any interior space. The design elements are intended to introduce a sense of nature into the domestic living space and encourage harmony between natural and man-made environments.

The Bambi frame has been released through blok furniture, a contemporary Australian design group to interior designers and architects. The blok range focuses on commercial and residential environments, explores clean architectural lines and allows the development of project specific solutions.

For more information, and to buy the Bambi frame online, head to the blok website here.
