The Lumineers

In the wake of the recent redux of roots music, American outfit The Lumineers has put its own spin on the genre, creating an honest and rustic collection of tunes.

In each of the band’s songs, lyrical narratives are organically intertwined with melodies that experiment with the limits of the banjo, cello, mandolin and piano (without alluding to the sounds of a barn dance).

After the popularity of its track ‘Ho Hey’ and subsequent self-titled album, The Lumineers is venturing to Brisbane to perform the earthy reveries at The Hi-Fi on Saturday 30 March.
