Rebecca Valance

Dec 9, 2012  ·  1 min read

By Benjamen Judd

Before starting up her own label, Rebecca Vallance was a fashion publicist for the likes of Kylie Minogue, Snoop Dog and Megan Gale. She even worked at fashion powerhouses, Prada, Gucci and Burberry.

Splitting her time between Malta, Sydney and London, Rebecca’s approach to fashion is to go against the trend grain and create timeless pieces that are still incredibly modern. Earlier this year, she was also named as one of the designers to watch in 2012 by Harpers Bazaar.

Rebecca’s current collection was inspired by Palm Springs and California back in the 60’s. Floral prints, shimmering black skirts and draped tops create a lovely nostalgic effect. Full length jackets with detailed lapels and embroidered skirts show a more formal and edgier side to the collection, not only showing Rebecca’s versatility as a designer but also her own eclectic style.

We have also heard that she is in the process of collaborating with Allison Williams – she of the latest HBO cult hit, Girls – on her forthcoming range for 2013 Autumn/Winter.

For more information and to see the full collection, you can head to Rebecca’s website here.
