Pin-Up Pool Party on the Gold Coast

Following the huge success of QT Gold Coast’s Pin-Up Pool Party series in 2017, retro babes and vintage vixens from around South East Queensland are once again set to take over the hotel’s resort pool!

The nostalgic initiative is the brainchild of our dearest, darling friend Chrissy Keepance, Headmistress of The Lindy Charm School.

Keepance is an advocate and educator on all things classic and vintage and says that “women could use a healthy dose of retro glamour at times, particularly on the Gold Coast where there can be social pressure to look a certain way and fit a certain mould”.

“Pin-up and vintage styling is classic and embraces all body types. Therefore, it’s becoming increasingly popular for women who simply cannot fit the ‘social norm’ but still want to look and feel sexy and show off their fabulous bodies”, adds Keepance.

Now, for anyone who knows QT Gold Coast, pin-up is right up our alley. We proudly feature retro styled staff uniforms, plus kitsch and colourful décor with photos of the Gold Coast through the 1950s and 60s – complete with its very own retro Holden and Kombi Van! Cute as, right?!

The next Pin-Up Pool Party at QT Gold Coast is scheduled for Saturday 24^th February from 12 noon. Guests are invited to float around on an oversized inflatable watermelon or flamingo, or maybe just float up to the Pool Bar and sip summer cocktails whilst looking fabulous and keeping cool.

Ladies are encouraged to don their best togs, loungewear or summer playsuits, while the fellas rock the cabana suits, budgie smugglers and vintage trunks.

This is a FREE event featuring live music, an Aperol Spritz Pop-Up Bar, retro dancing, pin-up styling and guest appearances from some of the Coast’s most prominent vintage beauties.

So, whether you live the pin-up life or simply prefer to spectate, QT’s Pin-Up Pool Party is sure to be a gay old time!
