If you down with polo already, then you know you’ll like this. If you’ve got no idea about polo, you might be pleasantly surprised. More than just good looking gentlemen on horseback, Polo is steeped in history. The sport was created 2,500 years ago in Persia as a means of training mounted cavalry and keeping them fit. Since then the sport spread across the Middle East, Asia, India and Ol’ Blighty, and in 2016 has found its way down under. Enter Polo by the Sea – a more refined and glamorous, urbanised polo.

From the dandies who put of the mega-popular Polo in the City series, comes Polo by the Sea. The horsey event is set to go down at the Goldy’s picturesque Doug Jennings Park May 28, 2016. This will be third year on the Gold Coast and is expected to be quiet the doozy… you always see a few of the Aussie movers and shakers, so if you’ve got your eye on any celebs, this could be your best chance. Besides the action packed polo games set by the sea, there’ll be the Fashions on the Fields hosted by Pacific Fair and live DJs spinning tunes all day. Giddy up.

Then after the show, it’s the after party. And after the party, it’s the hotel lobby… What’s better than the Polo… it’s the After Party! We’ve put up hand for the Polo by the Sea kick on. Stingray Lounge is the official place to party after all the action on the field – join us from 5pm to party the night away rubbing shoulders with star polo players and Australian polo professionals.

If you’re looking to treat yo’self to something nice and really complete the experience, crash at our place. We have created a Polo by the Sea & QT accommodation package with all the trimmings.
