Grab your Nature Fix on the Gold Coast

Did you know our fine city’s natural landscape includes 57 kilometres of coastline and 21,000 hectares of rainforest?

With so much beauty surrounding our golden shores (and I don’t mean the locals), is it any wonder that we’re a bunch of nature lovers?

For visitors to the GC, or locals who need to get out more, here’s where you’ll find us:

Bushwalking:
From the Tullebudgera Conservation Park to the far reaches of South Stradbroke Island and many leafy green suburbs in-between, the Gold Coast offers many great bush walking trails for the lazy Sunday stroller right up to the avid hiker. For a hit-list of your nearest bush walks click HERE

Camping:
Once in a while, you need to go into the wild…or at least a safe nearby National Park for a spot of camping and fresh mountain air. While the Spit is lined with Camper Vans most afternoons, we prefer The Settlement at Springbrook National Park, Bigriggen Park in the Scenic Rim or island camping on North Stradbroke Island.

Surfing – of course:
We ain’t called Surfers Paradise for nothing! Whether you’re looking to learn or the next Mark Visser, the Gold Coast offers some of the best surf breaks in the country. Find us at Burleigh Heads, Snapper Rocks, The Alley, Coolangatta’s Superbank or right here in Surfers Paradise.

Cycling:
Offering over 1000 kilometres of bikeways, cycling is a great way to see and experience the Gold Coast. Cruise the foreshore from the Broadwater Parklands right down to Burleigh Heads (give or take) and you’ll not only burn off some steam, you’ll also enjoy front-row seats to the glitter strips best beaches, parklands and cafes.
