A special moment years in the making

“We actually met online 5 years ago”, says Rebecca.

“After chatting for a few weeks we couldn’t wait to meet each other. Our first date was at the Chalk Hotel in Brisbane and from there we became inseparable”.

“Robert proposed to me while we were staying at QT Gold Coast in December 2016”

“We were actually there on a weekend away I had organised for his birthday!”

“One afternoon he took me for a sunset walk on the beach. While I was taking in the view from the water’s edge, he had secretly written a message in the sand… and there it was when I turned around, MARRY ME!”

“My general inspiration was bright and colourful – hence QT was the perfect fit!  We wanted our wedding to show our personality and to be fun and playful”

“We were keen to have an ‘elopement’ style wedding so QT’s secret garden provided the perfect intimate setting for our ceremony. It had water views without us needing to be out in the public view. Coming through the Malibu Room to the garden also made the perfect grand entrance and ensured some tears from the groom.”
