The weather outside is a little frightening.

In fact, it’s more than that, it’s chilling.

Temps are not looking like passing 18 degrees anytime this side of September, so it’s time to warm up your insides the best way possible.

A morning run to the top of Mt Ainslie might do the trick, though you might catch yourself a cold, very easy to do when out and about in the capital.

So you need something that’ll warm you up and keep you inside… Good thing that the fine hooch slinging team behind the bar at Capitol Bar & Grill and Lucky’s have just thrown the last garnishes on the new Winter Cocktail Menu.

Even better, the fire is roaring, making it the perfect place to stay warm this winter.

Let me tempt your taste buds with three delicious concoctions you’ll want to try out this winter:

It’s important to start off your wintery spirituous journey with the healthy stuff, like a banana and rum fusion. This way, if you failed to get your fruit intake, your nightly tipple is helping you reach those targets. Introducing you to our Banana Rum Old Fashioned, a classic start to a cocktail adventure.

Sticking with the fruit theme, get your next fix from the Spiced Pear, a known winter warmer. Based on Cognac and Curacao, this little number will keep you toasty on a cold night with little notes of ginger and peppercorn. Welcome to the club you spicy little pear.
