UGLY never looked so good.
Something exciting is going down in the QT Chop Shop.
We are excited to announce that this week The Ugly Barber will open their doors right here at QT Canberra.
Don’t be fooled by the name, they may be The Ugly Barber but unsightly they are not!
The name is a playful take on how guys compliment each other (or not!). And it’s definitely a conversation starter.
This is a barber shop that brings what was great about old school barbers with the benefits of a modern salon. The outcome: a professional and ‘manly’ experience.
Their skilled Ugly Barbers are meticulous at what they do, from modern to classic cuts, they will create a tailored look that will bring out the best you in you. They are big on continuous training so you will get the highest level of barbering skills.
Whether you’re after a haircut, a quick beard tidy or a classic cut-throat razor shave, they can take care of all of your hair and beard grooming needs. They strive for excellence so good enough, is not good enough for these Ugly Barbers.
Their grandparents taught them good manners so be ready to be greeted with warmth and respect. This is a place where conversation, good manners, a man’s word, loyalty, respect and honour are commonplace. And so is a good firm handshake.
Sit down in a classic barber chair and chill out while your barber gives you a cracker of a haircut or a good old-fashioned shave. And did we mention that you get a free beer with every service?
They understand the bond between a man and his barber and have carefully selected their Ugly barbers to be great story tellers in their own right. But they can do more than just tell a good story. They will study your individual features, characteristics and personal style with careful consideration. They will then perform their craft with great precision to create an individual look that is just right for you.
With two barbers shops, one here at QT and one in Braddon, you will be spoiled for choice. But don’t get complacent, they do book out quick.
If you don’t believe me, ask Don Julio. He is the man featured in both of their barber shops and the inspiration for The Ugly Barber. This was a man of timeless elegance whose style defined class. His words spoke to the people and his essence embodied the true spirit of man. A highly respected individual he was, much like the barbers of ancient times, he was a man of influence and a luminary by power of charm. You will find him on The Ugly Barber’s Facebook page espousing gentlemanly advice.
What about the women you ask? Well, The Ugly Barber has a pretty sister. THE Hairdressing, located in the city, is a premium salon that is all about authenticity. These guys are serious about their craft and genuine in their encounters. They will not only bring out your inner beauty but you’ll walk out feeling like you just made another friend.
Canberra owned, these businesses are backed by years of experience. Darren Jones is a renowned and respected stylist and industry educator and Nicolle Keyes is a strategic marketer. Between them, they pack a strong punch.
