Meet the Artist: Fiona Hill

Now - December 31, 2018

We’re so excited to announce the next artist in our talented line-up that will be hitting our halls in style this December.

Fiona Hill is a visual artist working and living in Jerrabomberra, New South Wales. Painting intuitively using acrylics and inks, her underlying passion for combining creativity and connection shines through her art. Commonly characterised by layers of colour and texture, her work tells the story of a personal narrative. They depict a painterly and ethereal quality that is translated through the interior spiritual landscape.

‘Daydreaming’ by Fiona Hill

“I need to experiment and play rather than adhere to a strict set of art rules. I believe it’s the quirks and imperfections in the art that add value to my work. The layers often hold personal narrative and align with my spiritual journey, stories about my inner life and connection. An element of mystery is sometimes preferred”.

‘Risen’ by Fiona Hill

Each painting is subject to its own narrative, which is open to reflection and interpretation. As the eye moves around the canvas, new discoveries and connections are made.

The Letting Go by Fiona Hill

Fiona’s work has often been described as rich and elegant, and at times it is soft and feminine. Found in private collections interstate and all over the world, her work has made it’s mark on the world, as soon our halls.

Fiona’s work will be on display from Saturday 1st December to Monday 31st December in the foyer of QT Canberra.
