Snow season is well and truly upon us! If you’re spending many a weekend at the snow, it can be worth investing in banging gear to make you feel as stylish on the slopes as you do when you’re out on the town.
Here are a few options to try…
All-white ‘errythang
Far from ‘plain’, all-white is a striking look that can take some serious balls to pull off. Crisp, reflective white will have you standing out from the ski crowd. Note – bright accessories will keep you from being invisible.
Arctic Fur
This is a classic snow look that will always be on trend. It’s both practical and gorgeous, keeping you warm and looking hot. Avoid going OTT by keeping it minimal – think fur trim on boots or a hood, or a divine little fur hat.
Leopard Print
Nothing says ‘glam’ quite like leopard print. Keep it classy by steering away from all over brown and adding a little colour – like this monochrome with touches of icy blue. We love a leopard statement piece like a ski jacket as an alternative to boring black.
Tie-dye
Tie-dye made a comeback during New York fashion week, with designs from Altuzarra and Raquel Allegra. Take it to winter by toning down the bright hues – we love this smoky take by local label I Ride Sideways. Bonus: the fleecy lining will keep you toasty warm.
Digi prints
The popularity of active wear has seen a huge rise in bright, digital prints. You don’t have to keep your favourite printed tights in the confines of the gym – layer them underneath ski pants or zip yourself up in a brightly printed onesie
Stripes
A little bit nautical, a little bit sport luxe – stripes are a stylish fashion staple. The options are endless: a striped thermal, a Breton stripe sweater, or even stripey socks peeking out atop boots – the stripe is here to stay.
Now you’ve got your fashion sorted, break up the drive to the snow with a well-deserved QT stopover. Catch a good night’s kip at our place and when you wake up feeling fresh and ready to body slam the day, we’ll tuck a brekkie pack under your arm and send you on your way.
