“Dynamic, ambitious and vibrant with a cutting-edge spirit” is FASHFEST 2016. Three nights. Six Shows. FASHFEST will soon be bringing the catwalk to Canberra starting Thursday, 29 September 2016. In the lead up to FASHFEST we focus on our six designer picks that will bring their inspiration and creativity to FASHFEST this year.

M.J. Bale

Rebel Muse
This is Rebel Muse’s debut appearance at FASHFEST. The fashion savvy Alicia Xyrakis, born and raised in Canberra has a sophisticated boutique located here in Braddon, Canberra. You can see Rebel Muse during ‘Reverie’, opening night, Thursday 29 September, 6.30 pm and ‘Furore’ 8:30 pm.

Charly Thorn
From Cooma, New South Wales, this 17 year old passionate designer is inspired by strange colours, shapes and experiences…and she’s not afraid to show it. You can see Charly Thorn at FASHFEST during ‘Limina’, Friday 30 September, 8.30 pm.

Sovata
Sovata is a fashion label by designer Jade Sargent.  Based in Canberra, Sovata creates vibrant and unique garments and hats to be worn for any occasion. You can see SOVATA during ‘Reverie’, opening night, Thursday 29 September, 6.30 pm.

Naomi Perris Bridal
The Naomi Peris Bridal collection encapsulates the modern, sexy bride. Naomi Hogie is an Australian designer who has been designing bridalwear since 2009. You can see Naomi Peris Bridal during ‘Limina’, Friday 30 September, 8.30 pm.

Kira Pizzingrilli
Set to make her mark in the industry with the launch of her self-titled label, Kira Pizzingrilli mixes feminine prints and fashion-forward shapes with classic tailoring. You can see Kira Pizzingrilli at FASHFEST during ‘Limina’, Friday 30 September, 8.30 pm.
