Canberra’s coolest cafés

Jul 4, 2018  ·  2 min read

Canberra’s café scene is thriving, with boutique coffee joints popping up all over the capital. We’ve shortlisted a few of our favourites so you can pick one to suit your vibe.

INTRA

If you love diving into the unknown, INTRA is an indulgence for your senses. Imagine sleek interiors, and your staple items transformed with a Japanese fusion twist. You can expect the unexpected with flavour combinations like a Kimchi Jaffle, and a Salmon bagel with pickled cucumber and chilli to name just a few. With just a few weeks of service under its belt, INTRA is a must-try.

High Road

Don’t be fooled by its inner suburban location, for High Road is masterful creation by the talented bunch behind ONA Coffee. Serving Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch and Dinner from 7am – 11pm 5 days a week, it’s quickly become a hotspot of the inner north. Fusing fanciful dining with accessibility, this is a café for every occasion.

The Front

Nestled in the heart of inner Lynham, The Front is your perfect Sunday brunch situation. Share the space with the work of local artists and designers, and take in the relaxed bohemian vibes. Humble yet oh so delicious, their menu reveals a bunch of unexpected delights like ‘Eggplant Bacon’ that might just pleasantly surprise you.

Makeshift

If you’re looking for a change of scenery but still have to stay on the grind, Makeshift may just be your perfect match.  Founded by RedBrick Espresso, this newcomer is perfect for grabbing a quality brew in some seriously creative digs. Set the scene for the ultimate brainstorming session with workspaces for any type of meeting, all with power points and plenty of natural light.
