Canberra’s Best Chai

Aug 6, 2018  ·  2 min read

When it comes to Chai, it truly has become an art form, and trust us when we say that Canberra has it mastered. Hand brewed and bursting with spicy goodness, we’ve narrowed down our favourite blends of Chai to be your ultimate companion through those chilly winter days. The best part? Our hotspots are just a short walk from the hotel.

Mocan & Green Grout

19 Marcus Clarke Street, NewActon

Across the way from QT Canberra, Mocan & Green Grout is our team’s personal favourite. Let the charming interiors set the scene for an afternoon in, perfectly paired with a spicy chai and a good book.

Monster Kitchen & Bar

25 Edinburgh Avenue, NewActon

Hidden amongst the show-stopping interiors of Ovolo Nishi, Monster Kitchen & Bar is the perfect place to cosy up next to the fire with the perfect brew in hand. Served in delightful oriental cast-iron pots with matching mugs, this insta-worthy treat is definitely worth a try.

The Cupping Room

19 Marcus Clarke Street, NewActon

When it comes to local favourites, The Cupping Room’s Soy Infused Chai has earnt its keep amongst chai lovers. The ultimate blend of spicy and sweet, this one is sure to cure your winter blues.

Makeshift

Shop 8/18 Lonsdale Street, Braddon

Set the scene for your pow-wow with toasty private nooks, and the perfect winter warmers to seal the deal. A little on the softer side, Makeshift’s chai blend is great for an afternoon pick-me-up.
