Good design is something that we here at QT really like to get into. We spend most weekends hunting around for new designs or things that make us go ‘wow‘ only to fall into some sort of trance. We enjoy blissing out to back to back episodes of Grand Designs (the UK version). There is something about Kevin’s sharp, yet soft wit mixed with good design and a budget that doesn’t quite match.
The reveal of an old shed or a completely new build takes the mind of some sort of transcendental journey through design, architecture and inevitably a deep Instagram scroll to some abstract dwelling in the Croatian countryside.
So with all this love for design, we were rather stoked to hear that our friends over at Indoek released a fusion of surf, the culture that it breeds with the essential surf cabin to create Surf Shacks.
A coffee table appropriate must-have, the book showcases a stack of truly incredible villas, bungalows, cottages and beach houses situated on coastlines all around this beautiful planet that we call home.
The team spent four years compiling the stories that go hand in hand with the faces behind the coastal builds.
The photography is beautiful, the words are well said and the shacks themselves are just delicious.
