Straight up, we couldn’t pack more stoke into a piece of QTLife if we tried.

The ultimate girl gang behind First Base are about to open their first ever concept store. What’s even better, we’re going to be neighbours.

Ali Cotton is the brains behind the babin’ label, she’s also one of the busiest humans I’ve ever met.

Though she did have a spare moment the other day for a very, very quick chat.

B: Hi Ali
A: Hi Ben

B: So after three and a half years and a handful of weekend pop-up stores, you’re about to open the doors on the initial First Base Concept Store, what can we expect?
A: So much good stuff. Our entire FIT range which has previously been exclusive to our online store plus lots of fresh drops of new swimwear. Basically everything you need for a killer summer in Bondi.

B: How long are we going to be neighbours for?
A: December 9 to March 6 – We are here for a good time, not a long time.

B: For a working lunch, Fishbowl Poke or Mr Toppers Toast Bar ?
A: Have to go Fishbowl Poke

Let me recap the First Base Story, for those who aren’t all over it…

The year is 2013, Ali, living and working in Bondi decides to create a brand that all about getting back to basics by stripping away all those things that seem pointless. Taking her love of surf and sports culture, Ali designs a range that is true, understated and slick.

The brand feels like something you want to be a part of, a culture that is built around ethically produced pieces, rad designs and awesome humans.

The First Base Concept store opens on December 9 to March 6, 7 days a week.
