We all know trying a new salon is risky business. 80% of the time you walk out with something so far from wanted, you start to question what you even asked for in the beginning. 15% of the time you walk out having spent some stupid amount of $$$ and your hair literally looks EXACTLY the same (just washed with nice shampoo). And on that rare occasion, that teeny tiny 5%…. you leave absolutely stoked! That nightmare all changed for me a few weeks ago when I discovered the holy grail of hair salons.
Hidden away in a little nook on Gould Street, between The Facial Room and Museum Clothing you will find Koda Cutters. I must admit I had walked passed the salon multiple times and never really noticed it. But when Diane (owner) and Heidi came to visit me to tell me about their salon I was intrigued… an exclusive boutique salon that offers style, quality and impeccable craftsmanship.
Yeh sure, any salon can say that but in learning that Diane’s background was working in the fashion industry as an editorial stylist made me think maybe this salon might be different.
So a couple of days later I head down to Koda for a treatment and blow dry…
I walked into the salon; it was light filled with 2 huge framed mirrors from the ceiling to the floor, rose gold chairs, cute little tree stump side tables and stylish lighting.
